Its a bird, its a plane…. wait, it’s wound care what?

It’s that white building with the topless Jeep parked out front and the aroma of strong coffee seeping out the front door to the sidewalk. It’s not a restaurant or a bakery; it is Wound Care Advantage and has grown up in Sierra Madre for over a decade. The CEO, Mike Comer is a familiar face in the community, but our neighbors still wonder what Wound Care Advantage is.

So, what is Wound Care Advantage?

I’m glad you asked. Wound Care Advantage helps hospitals manage wound centers.

Well, the building located on Sierra Madre Blvd isn’t a doctor’s office or even a wound center in that case. It is the corporate office and we partner with hospitals to develop successful wound centers.

The people that walk in and out of our office are the team members that make it all possible. Some work from home, others work across the country, but we all work to make Wound Care Advantage a company dedicated to patients, partners and our community.

What do you mean…wounds?

It is all in the name. We partner with hospitals to transition, turn around and sometimes develop wound centers. You know, those oozing, stomach churning, chronic or non-healing wounds. Yes, we partner and manage centers that treat those “gross” wounds. We LOVE wounds, even those of us who work more on the corporate side have developed a passion for wound care. Something about saving lives and healing the “non-healing” is a challenge our centers gladly accept.
