William Goldstein has lived in Sierra Madre since 1998, when he entered 5th grade at the Gooden School. In addition to writing for Patch, William works in marketing at Red Hen Press, an independent non-profit literary publisher, and freelances for Prospect Park Books, which maintains Hometown-Pasadena.com and publishes arts, culture, and dining guides for cities across Southern California.

Before entering the two very different worlds of literary publishing and hyperlocal journalism, William was an SAT and English tutor. Before that, he was a college student, at Columbia University in New York City, which is a nice place to live if you like that sort of thing. He is making use of his degree as we speak.
