Bean Town

After 18 years in the same location, Bean Town knows what its community likes. But that may also be because owner Matt Krantz is the president of the Sierra Madre Chamber of Commerce.  Almost every edible is made in-house, from its "best granola this side of Virginia" to pastries, and more. All the food is locally sourced, which is a point of pride for Krantz. "Skip the Starbucks," he says, "and always go for independent shops!"
