Adoptable pets at the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA plus information on World Spay Day.

Today is World Spay Day. To stop the tragedy of pet overpopulation, PHS offers low-cost spay/neuter surgery to the residents of Arcadia, Glendale, La Cañada Flintridge, Pasadena, San Marino, Sierra Madre and South Pasadena through it's SNiP program.

Animals adopted from PHS are spayed and neutered as a part of their adoption fees. Meet these four animal companions looking for a loving forever home.

A321715 – Rory is a 4-year-old white and brown Parson Russell terrier mix. He can be shy at first, but warms up quickly. He’s also been out on our Mobile Unit and did well around people and other dogs. His adoption fee is $125.

A321986 – Cordelia is a 7-year-old calico. She’s very sweet and affectionate. Her regular adoption fee is $70; however, she does qualify for our Seniors for Seniors program in which her adoption fee is waived for adopters 60 years old and up.

A320846 – Papo is a 2-year-old New Zealand white rabbit. He’s extremely friendly and loves to be petted. His adoption fee is $30.

A321005 – Tommy is an 8-year-old Lhasa Apso. He’s been out on our Mobile Outreach Unit and is a staff and volunteer favorite! He qualifies for our Seniors for Seniors program in which his adoption fee is waived and adopters only pay the $20 mandatory microchip fee. Contact an adoptions counselor for more information about him.

The adoption fee includes the animal’s spay/neuter surgery, a microchip, the first set of vaccinations, as well as a free follow-up health check at a participating vet. New adopters will receive complimentary health and wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals. Ask an adoptions counselor for more information during your visit.

Call the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA at 626.792.7151 and refer to the animal’s “A” number, or visit us  at 361 S. Raymond Ave in Pasadena. Adoption hours are 11-4 Sunday, 9-5 Tuesday –Friday and 9-4 Saturday. Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters from phone calls or email. Directions and photos of all pets can be found atwww.pasadenahumane.org.

it's funny how walmart gets 120+ comments and these poor little dogs get nothing.
