The San Antonio Winery and many Sierra Madre merchants once again joined forces to host the 6th annual Sierra Madre Wine & Jazz Walk this past weekend.
The event, which benefits cancer reseach and treatment at City of Hope hospital, brought wine and music lovers to downtown Sierra Madre Saturday afternoon and into the evening.
In its first five years, the event raised more than $300,000 for City of
Hope biomedical research, patient care and medical education.
While strolling through historic Sierra Madre Village, participants visited local businesses to taste award-winning wines and sampled delicious hors d'oeuvres.
Live jazz groups performed throughout the town and guests also had the opportunity to view beautiful classic cars and Mercedes Benzes, courtesy of Rusnak Auto Group.
There was also a silent auction featuring items ranging from gift baskets to tickets to the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl game.
San Antonio Winery, the event's presenting sponsor, donated the wine of the evening. Their wines have won more than 1,000 awards in national and international competitions.
