Free Concerts in Memorial Park all Summer

Gather in Sierra Madre's Memorial Park every Sunday this summer for a free outdoor concert. The music series will feature a new band and a new menu every weekend.

Outdoor concerts in are part of what make summer in Sierra Madre so memorable.

Sierra Madre's free concert series will kick off Sunday, July 8 and continue every weekend through August 26. Concerts run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A different band or orchestra will grace Memorial Park's bandshell every weekend, along with a new menu.

Residents are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to sit on. Additional vendors and food may be available other than what's listed below. Please note that alcohol is prohibited.

Check out the line-up:

  • July 8: Elvis (rock 'n roll), sponsored by the Rotary Club of Sierra Madre. Food available for purchase.

    July 15: Gem City Jazz Cats (Big Band) sponsored by the Spero Foundation. Carne asada tacos, drinks and ice cream will be available for purchase

    July 22: Silver Beatles (Beatles Tribute Band), hosted by the Senior Community Commission. Free popscicles will be provided.

    July 29: Aluminum Marshmallow (Classic Rock) sponsored by the Sierra Madre Civic Club. Hot dogs and home-made pie with ice cream will be available for purchase

    August 5: TAIKOPROJECT (American Taiko Drummer Ensemble), hosted by L.A. County Arts Commission. The concert will be accompanied by a “learn taiko” segment featuring a hands-on demonstration.

    August 12: JJ Jukebox (60’s and 70’s Rock) sponsored by Kiwanis and Friends of the Library.

    August 19: The Grove (Classic Oldies) sponsored by Sierra Madre Volunteer Firefighters Association. The Subs (Mainstream Acoustic) will be the opening act.

    August 26: Take Two (Top 40’s) sponsored by Dr. Roger Joe, DDS; The Lodge at Sierra Madre; and Crosslife Community Church.

These free concerts are made possible by Athens Services and the Sierra Madre Issei Memorial Foundation, along with numerous community hosts, according to the city.

The Memorial Park Bandshell is located at 222 W. Sierra Madre Blvd. in Sierra Madre, right next to City Hall.
