UPDATED: Sierra Madre Runner Safe After Explosions Rock Boston Marathon

One runner from Sierra Madre was participating in today's Boston Marathon, which was rocked by explosions near the race's finish line. (Scroll below the Storify post to see name of the local runner.)

Two people are dead and many more are injured as the result of a pair of explosions near the finish line of Monday's Boston Marathon, according to the Boston Police Department. 

According to the race's website -- Tim Osti, 45, of Sierra Madre -- was participating in the race. Patch readers commented on the Sierra Madre Patch Facebook page, confirming that Osti completed the race and was safe from harm.

It’s not clear yet what happened or led to the explosions, or who was injured. More than 20,000 officially runners officially entered this year's race.
