The competition is about to begin in Sierra Madre with the 7th Annual Oktoberfest Golf and Tennis Tournament slated for this Saturday, Oct. 15.
Funds raised from the city-sposored event will benefit Sierra Madre's youth programs, such as Friday activities in Kersting Court, Summer Fun in the Park, youth flag football, , teen programs, the and the upcoming .
The golf tournament will be played on a nine-hole course as a foursome, best-ball format at the Eaton Canyon Golf Course with an 8:00 a.m. start time and assigned tee times.

The tennis tournament will start at 8:00 a.m. as well and will be held at the Orange Grove tennis courts at the corner of Orange Grove Blvd. and Baldwin Avenue in the City of Arcadia.
Following the tournaments is a reception and awards ceremony at the Community Recreation Center, located at 611 E. Sierra Madre Blvd.
