DODGERTOWN BIKE RIDE TICKETS NOW ON SALE - SAVE THE DATE - SEPTEMBER 1st ESBC has secured a couple of sections at Dodger Stadium for all cyclist and their families through a Group ticket sales. Please purchase tickets through this link: http://www.dodgers.com/dodgertownride USE SPECIAL CODE: RIDE The EASTSIDE BIKE CLUB's "DODGERTOWN BIKE RIDE" is a unique FUN - FAMILY FRIENDLY, ECO FRIENDLY, CASUAL PACED BIKE RIDE TO DODGER STADIUM TO WATCH A GAME. We are celebrating two of Americas's favorite past times "Baseball & Bike Riding." It is a healthy event that most Angelenos can participate in. ESBC members have mapped out and selected the most flat ride possible. Dodger Stadium is located on a hill and there is a short incline when we reach the stadium. The reward will be worthwhile as cyclists participating in this ride will be making LA History as it is the first time that such a bike ride happens in Los Angeles, or at any MaJor League Baseball stadium in the United States. The event starts with a Bike Rally, featuring a best decorated "LA Dodger Fan and Bike" theme. Participants are encouraged to wear Dodger attire and decorate their bikes. A Bike Parade (ala Soul Train Line), with prizes being awarded for best decorated bikes and riders. Music, raffles, health and bike related resources will also be present. The BIKE RALLY STARTS 3pm: El Arca (Next to Lincoln Park) 3839 Selig Place Lincoln Heights CA 90031 “Take me out to the ball game” will be sung by participants just before departing to the stadium. We will begin our short four mile trek promptly at 4:30pm from Lincoln Heights to Chavez Ravine. This will allow ample time to reach the stadium, the game starts @ 6:10pm. The Dodger organization is providing a designated Bike Parking Area near the gate entrance closest to our seaall for all cyclist, and is waiving parking fees for anyone who rides a Bike to the game. This epic event takes on Saturday, September 1, 2012 as the Dodgers hosts the Arizona Diamond Backs. A portion of the ticket sales sold through this link will be donated to the EASTSIDE BIKE CLUB's so that we can continue our efforts of providing Safe Bike Riding Excursions, Bike Education and Safety, Bike Advocacy and free minor bike repairs for families who can not afford it.
