Sierra Madre Students Earn Recognition at L.A. County Science Fair

Four Sierra Madre Middle School students earned honors at countywide science fair.

Four Sierra Madre Middle School students were among a group of Pasadena Unified School District students who did exceptionally well at the Los Angeles County Science Fair

The team of Jonathan Shaklan and Julian Tayarah placed third for their project, "Comparing Cooling And Heating Of Athletic Shirts" in the Product Science division. The pair also competed at the California State Science Fair held at the California Science Center on April 15-16.

Sierra Madre Middle School students Georgia Miller and Gray Harman earned an Honorable Mention for their project, "Is Pickle Juice Antibacterial?" in the Microbiology division.

The Los Angeles County Science Fair took place at the Pasadena Convention Center on March 21-23.
