Rose Parade Royal Court: 35 Girls Make First Cut
On Thursday, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses will announce the first round of finalists who hope to earn a place on the royal court.
Round one of cuts is complete, as the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association will announce the 35 finalists on Thursday, according to an association press release.
More than 900 young women from San Gabriel Valley communities are vying for a spot on the 2012 Rose Queen & Royal Court to reign over the 123rd Rose Parade and the 98th Rose Bowl Game. The reigning queen, Evanne Friedmann, graduated from in June.
The announcement will be held Thursday, Oct. 6 at 2:45 p.m. at the Tournament House in Pasadena, 391 South Orange Grove Blvd.
