La Salle High School Graduates 188 Seniors

Lancers' awards, honors and scholarships abound at 52nd commencement.

188 high school seniors moved their tassels from one side of the mortarboard to the other on Friday evening, celebrating successful completion of their high school careers at La Salle High School in Pasadena. Located just across Michillinda, bordering Sierra Madre, many local students attend this private Catholic, coeducational high school.

The event was held Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Pasadena Church of the Nazarene Pasadena Church of the Nazarene, on Sierra Madre Boulevard. 

According to La Salle’s Director of Communications, John C. Blackstock - also a 1967 graduate of the school - three students were recognized for their academic excellence, indicating that though the school does not rank their students, these three tied for the best grade point average over their four year high school career:

“The La Salle High School Scholar Awards are voted on by their department members for the top student in that department over the 4 years,” Blackstock said.

The school does not designate a Valedictorian. Instead, the Senior Class Commencement Speaker, Chloe S. Cross,  addressed the assembly. Additional Academic and Athletic Awards went to the following students:
