Earn Target Gift Cards for Sierra Madre Schools

The retail corporation will be awarding up to $2.5 million in support of local schools. Vote for your choice of a Sierra Madre school and see what Sierra Madre school is in the lead so far.

The Target Corporation has about $2.5 million it wants to donate to schools across the nation, including those in Sierra Madre.

According to its website, people can vote for their respective schools through the "Give With Target" sweepstakes.

Locals can vote via Facebook for schools in the 91024 Sierra Madre zip code.

Here's how it works, according to the site:

Simply choose a K-12 school in our list of eligible schools and vote for it weekly through September 8 or when $2.5 million in Target GiftCards® have been awarded, whichever occurs first. A school will receive a $25 Target GiftCard for every 25 votes received during the Promotion Period; up to a maximum of $10,000 in gift cards. For example, schools that receive less than 25 votes will not receive any gift cards, while schools that receive 25-49 votes receive a $25 Target GiftCard and schools that receive 50-74 votes receive $50 in gift cards. If the school you chose is not on our list, please choose another school.

Several Sierra Madre public and private schools are listed and have already received votes, including:

As of 2:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sierra Madre Elementary School had received 118 votes, more than all the other Sierra Madre schools combined.

The complete list of terms and conditions can be found here.

Are you voting for a Sierra Madre school to win Target gift cards? If so, which school and why?

What are these "organizations that can assist educators in providing an additional incomeRead More source for school supplies?" What are the other "big retailers" besides Staples that are helping teachers with rewards programs? This is a great subject but there is little detail here beyond a link to the Staples program. Would love to read a follow up piece with more useful information.
