Photos: Alverno High's Junior Ring Ceremony

Juniors at Alverno High School received their class rings in a ceremony to symbolize their status as upperclasswomen.

In an exciting rite of passage, juniors gathered on the terrace of the school’s historic Villa del Sol d’Oro to receive their junior rings on Oct. 26. In keeping with the junior class color, the terrace was aglow with lavender accents.

“These girls are now upper classwomen,” says Ann Gillick, Alverno Head of School. “Junior Ring is one of the most anticipated events of the school year.”

The excitement was palpable as young women went forward in front of friends and family to receive the school rings they had so carefully picked out last year.
