Sierra Madre's Pinney House on the Market
The one-time Victorian style luxury hotel at 225 N. Lima Street is reportedly for sale for $2.695 million.
Sierra Madre's Pinney House, the one-time luxury hotel that dates back to 1887, is on the market for $2.695 million, according to the real estate website frontdoor.com.
Designed and built back in 1887 by brothers Samuel and Joseph Cather Newsom, the structure has served a number of purposes over the years, including use as boarding house, apartment complex, film set, dance studio. It is located at 225. N Lima Street.
The original home served guests, many from the East Coast, in winter months, according to the frontdoor.com story. It also has appeared in many films over the years.
In recent years, the owners have leased rooms out to local renters. The house was granted a CUP to operate as a bed and breakfast in 2012.
The home was also on the market in 2011 but did not sell at the time.
