Banning Dogs in Dapper and Heasley Fields

The Council will continue their discussion on an ordinance that would ban dogs on playing fields in Sierra Madre- specifically Heasley and Dapper Fields. Tonight the Council's discussion will focus on whether or not the proposed ordinance should designate that first-time offenders be fined.

The Community Services Commission recommends that first-time offenders be fined.

Background:

Appointing Two Members to the Oversight Board Committee re: Dissolution of Redevelopment Agencies

California Redevelopment Agencies dissolved on February 1, and the City Council elected to become a successor agency to Sierra Madre Redevelopment Agency and assume all its housing functions. By law the Mayor is required to appoint two people to this committee of seven.

The committee will have several responsiblities including overseeing the City Council's "winding down" of the programs and projects of the former RDA and approving a Recognized Obligation Payment Schedule for the City.

Receipt and Filing of City Audit

The Council will receive an independent audit report of the City's finances for 2010-2011.

Meeting Cancellation Due to April Election

The Council will likely cancel its regular meeting on April 10 due to the city-wide election being held the same day. Council Chambers are historically used during the election and the space will be needed. Only one item, "warrant registers" has been scheduled for April 10 so far. The Council can choose to hold the meeting on another day or simply skip the first meeting in April.
