Volunteers Needed to Count Traffic

The City is seeking volunteers to count traffic to help with the General Plan update.

The General Plan Steering Committee is seeking up to six volunteers to conduct traffic counts for three street intersections in Sierra Madre. Findings will be included in the traffic study portion of a technical background report that is being prepared for the General Plan Update.

The volunteer work involves counting cars as they pass through the intersections during two-hour time windows during morning and evening peak traffic times during the first or second week in December.

A short workshop will be held to train volunteers before the scheduled traffic counts.
