Thursday's Planning Commission Agenda

The Sierra Madre Planning Commission will meet tonight. See what's on the agenda.

The Sierra Madre Planning Commission will meet Thursday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, 232 W. Sierra Madre Blvd.

In one of two items on the agenda, the commission will consider a request by applicant, Robert Amin, to make facade changes to the existing two-story, 9,541-square-foot commercial building at 138-142 West Sierra Madre Blvd.

The property is currently undergoing work previously approved by the Planning Commission on July 15, 2010, under CUP 10-03. However, Amin is proposing further exterior alterations to the building including providing ADA access from the rear parking lot into the building by installing an elevator along the rear elevation.

Public comment is welcome, so long as it does not exceed four minutes.

Check out the full agenda on the city website.

Facade changes?!? I certainly hope that someone shows up to oppose this. The last thing Sierra Madre needs is a reasonable and successful business man making facade changes with out a nosy resident showing up and objecting to changes that don't even effect their lives! If no one shows up, I certainly hope the SMPCs will veto this on their own motion! What would become of this town if this facade change thing catches on?!?
