Rain, Wind and Road Closures Tuesday

The National Weather Service expects rain, wind and possibly hail to hit the region Tuesday.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook Monday and warned that rain, wind and possibly hail could hit the region Tuesday as a cold stormfront moves in.

The inclement weather is expected to last through Wednesday and NWS predicts that scattered thunderstorms could produce small hail in addition to the 80 percent chance of rain forecast for Tuesday.

The Los Angeles County Public Works Department website showed a closure on Angeles Forest Highway from Aliso Canyon Road to Angeles Crest Highway, effective Tuesday, due to weather conditions.

Additional closures include Big Tujunga Canyon Road from Angeles Forest Highway to Vogel Flats and Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road from Angeles Forest Highway to Angeles Crest Highway.

"Local access will not be permitted until the road closures are lifted,'' said Sgt. Burton Brink of the Crescenta Valley sheriff's station. "The closures will remain in effect until the storm system has passed and the roads have been inspected."

What are these "organizations that can assist educators in providing an additional incomeRead More source for school supplies?" What are the other "big retailers" besides Staples that are helping teachers with rewards programs? This is a great subject but there is little detail here beyond a link to the Staples program. Would love to read a follow up piece with more useful information.
