Public Invited to Community Walk & Talk Session on Grandview Ave. Projects

The in-depth presentation will begin at 10 a.m. on Jan. 26.

In anticipation of the construction projects set to begin along East Grandview Avenue, the city of Sierra Madre will be hosting a Community Walk & Talk informational session on Saturday, Jan. 26.

Residents are invited to attend the Walk & Talk with city officials to obtain in-depth information on the project and to learn of the benefits to the Sierra Madre community.

The event will take place, rain or shine, at East Grandview Avenue near Foothill Avenue from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The 600 block of East Grandview is scheduled for a complete street closure between Feb. 21 and Feb. 28, with around-the-clock construction activity as the Metropolitan Water District (MWD) constructs of a point of connection to the 9 ½ foot MWD Upper Feeder water pipeline that traverses Sierra Madre along Grand View Avenue. What are these "organizations that can assist educators in providing an additional incomeRead More source for school supplies?" What are the other "big retailers" besides Staples that are helping teachers with rewards programs? This is a great subject but there is little detail here beyond a link to the Staples program. Would love to read a follow up piece with more useful information.
