No Funding For Metro Gold Line Extension

Local government officials have asked the MTA for $765 million to complete the Metro Gold Line extension from the Azusa/Glendora border to Claremont.

The plan for the San Gabriel Valley extension to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Gold Line is still missing one of its most crucial aspects: its funding.

According to The San Gabriel Valley Tribune, MTA Chief Executive Officer Art Leahy told a group of San Gabriel Valley elected officials after their request for $765 million for an that, "there is no more money for the Gold Line."

"The Gold Line is funded to Azusa. Period," Leahy said.
