Kensington Project, New Condos on Agenda

Sierra Madre's Planning Commission will meet tonight to discuss a proposed five-unit condominium on East Sierra Madre Blvd. and the much-debated Kensington Assisted Living Facility.

Sierra Madre's Planning Commission will convene at its usual time and place tonight in City Council Chambers, 232 W. Sierra Madre Blvd. at 7:00 p.m.

Members of the public are welcome to attend and weigh in during public comment portions of the meeting.

Condominium Construction

Public Hearing to consider a Tentative Tract Map and Conditional Use Permit for construction of a five-unit, two-story, 30-foot high condominium building on the southwest corner of East Sierra Madre Blvd. and Sierra Place. There would also be a 12-space parking lot.

New Home Construction

Public Hearing to consider construction of a 3,367-square-foot single-family home at 723 Camillo St. Code requires a Hillside Development Permit for new homes on existing lots. A Variance would also be needed because the home would be located within 100 feet of a prominent ridgeline.

Kensington Project

Public Hearing to consider construction of a 58,000 square-foot assisted living facility on 225-245 W Sierra Madre Blvd. The project needs a Conditional Use Permit plus a Specific Plan. General Plan and Municipal Code Text Amendments would also be required.
