Donnelly Again Blasts Gun Control in Editorial

Addressing calls for bans on assault weapons after the Colorado movie theater rampage, Assemblyman Tim Donnelly wrote that "the general claim that tighter gun control laws would have prevented this incident is ludicrous..."

Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, R-Twin Peaks, continued his crusade against after a man used an AR-15 assault rifle to a week and a half ago.

Writing on the website "The FlashReport," Donnelly, who represents Sierra Madre among other cities, said tighter gun control laws would not have prevented the shooting.

"Last week, we experienced a devastating tragedy that will continue to haunt the families, friends and all of Aurora, Colorado for years to come," Donnelly wrote. "Predictably, but unfortunately, this terrible incident has been politicized and used as a rallying cry for anti-second amendment activists, media figures and even foreign heads of state. The general claim that tighter gun control laws would have prevented this incident is ludicrous, as guns were, in fact, not allowed in the Aurora theatre. That rule did not stop crazed James Homes from unleashing a bloodbath on a crowd of unsuspecting, innocent attendees. No rule would have stopped him."

What are these "organizations that can assist educators in providing an additional incomeRead More source for school supplies?" What are the other "big retailers" besides Staples that are helping teachers with rewards programs? This is a great subject but there is little detail here beyond a link to the Staples program. Would love to read a follow up piece with more useful information.
