AQMD Launches Online Tool to Report Bad Air

Residents can attach a photo or video to their complaint.

Southland residents can now report air pollution problems to the South Coast Air Quality Management District through an online complaint tool.

"We have inspectors in the field, but we also rely on residents to help monitor air quality-related activities in their neighborhoods," AQMD Executive Officer Barry R. Wallerstein said. "We hope the new online tool provides a convenient option for residents to connect with us on air quality issues in their new communities."

According to the AQMD, the system is easy to use and people have the option to attach a picture or a video to their complaint. Online users will be able to track the status of their air quality complaint with an assigned number for the first time, according to the agency.
