Another Used Book Sale Starts Today at the Library

Citing a “windfall of wonderful donations” the have scheduled another “Bargain Book Table Sale”  in an effort to “share the bounty” with local readers and library supporters.

The august sale was held late in the month, so this sale comes right on the heels of the last monthly installment. This latest sale will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 6, and run through Saturday, Sept. 10. The sale will be held on those dates during regular library hours of operation. 

According to the Friends of the Library, certain genres will be featured at this sale, including mysteries, current affairs, young adult and children’s books.

The sale table, situated inside the near the front entrance, is replenished daily and, as always, books are only $1.00 each.

For those who may already have enough - or perhaps too many - books and/or periodicals on their shelves, the sale organizers are also accepting donations of used books from community members.

“We welcome books and DVD donations in good condition,” the group said in a press release. “Magazines may be placed on the “Free Bench” at the back of the Library, or, if the issues have been published within the last 6 months, they can be brought to the Service Desk for the Library’s magazine takeaway section.”

The is open Monday through Wednesday from Noon to 9 p.m., Thursday and Friday from Noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
