Woman With Infant Arrested for Apartment Burglary, Drugs

The suspect, a Pasadena resident who was on probation for burglary, was arrested on charges of burglary, drug possession and child endangerment.

A Pasadena woman was arrested Thursday in Sierra Madre for allegedly burglarizing a storage unit in an apartment carport.

Julia Klockhoff Sevier, 38, of Pasadena was discovered at 3:45 a.m. in the 700 block of West Sierra Madre Boulevard by a resident who thought her car suspicious, according to the Sierra Madre Police Department blotter and department Sgt. Enrique Gonzalez.  The car had its vehicle doors open and the lights on, according to the blotter.

When police arrived on scene they found stolen property in the car, according to the blotter, as well as Sevier's 8-month-old child and quantities of methamphetamine

The police determined that Sevier was on probation for a felony count of burglary.  Her child was removed to the custody of the Department of Child Services and burglary,  narcotics and child endangerment charges have been filed against Sevier.

She is being held in county jail on $50,000 bail, according to the county Sheriff's Department website.
