VIDEO: Friends Say Death of College Student at Hermit Falls a 'Freak Accident'
The victim is ID's as a Cal State Fullerton student.
A Cal State Fullerton student who was hiking with a group of friends in the Angeles National Forest north of Arcadia died after jumping from some rocks into a pool of water, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stated in a news release Tuesday. The group of 13 college students were hiking in the Hermit Falls area Monday when several of them decided to jump into the water from the adjacent rocks.
