Teenagers Charged With Burglarizing Middle School

Two teenage boys were taken into custody by Sierra Madre Police for allegedly breaking into a classroom and stealing supplies.

Over 20 items were taken by a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old boy in a burglary that occurred Wednesday night, Sergeant Ruben Enriquez told Patch Monday.

At about 7:46 p.m. Wednesday the received a call from someone who reported witnessing the two teenagers climb out of a classroom window at the school, located at 160 North Canon.

After Sierra Madre Police searched the area, with assistance from the Pasadena Police airship (helicopter), the suspects were found and taken into custody.

Over 20 items of school property—described as “school supplies”—were recovered on the teenagers and on the school grounds, said Enriquez, who could not specify exactly what was taken.

The suspects were taken to the police station Wednesday and later released to their parents. The two now face a burglary charge.

Enriquez did not know if the teenagers attended Sierra Madre Middle School.
