Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Aids Hikers in Manzanita Ridge

Two females and one male were treated for heat-related injuries, said rescue team president Larry Smith.

Members of the Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Team and the Los Angeles County Fire Department helped a small group of lost hikers at Manzanita Ridge above Chantry Flat.

The rescue culminated with the hikers being taken away in a county Fire Department helicopter "about an hour ago", according to Larry Smith, the rescue team's president.

"It's a couple of females and one male," Smith said. "They were hot and pretty tired."
