Sierra Madre Boulevard Driver With Damaged Vehicle Arrested for DUI

The incident happened near the intersection of Sierra Madre Boulevard and Sunnyside, according to the Sierra Madre Police Department blotter.

At 4:45pm, officers responded to a report of a vehicle being driven erratically on Sierra Madre Boulevard.  The officers located the vehicle stopped for the stop sign at Sunnyside Avenue and Sierra Madre Boulevard and observed that the driver appeared to be unconscious.   The officers detained the driver and determined he was under the influence of an unknown drug.  The investigation revealed fresh traffic collision damage on the right side of the vehicle suggesting that the driver collided with an object prior to the reporting party calling in her observations. The driver (male 57 years of age) was arrested for DUI.
