School Pipe Bomb Suspect's Hearing Pushed to Sept. 21

A witness wasn't available to make the Tuesday morning hearing, according to lawyers.

A pre-trial hearing for Joshua Parra-Davis, who is suspected of  near  in January, has been delayed to Sept. 21 because a witness was unable to make Tuesday's morning hearing at the Pasadena Courthouse.

Parra-Davis, a 23-year-old Arcadia resident, was clad in a light green jumpsuit and quietly answered "yes" when Judge Janice Croft asked him if he was waiving his right to a speedy trial and understood what was happening.

Parra-Davis pleaded not guilty in June to four felony counts. He faces up to 19 years in prison if convicted on three counts of "felony possession of an explosive device near certain places" and one count of "felony possession of a destructive device near certain places."
