A home was broken into in the 400 block of Auburn Avenue Thursday and jewelry and musical instruments were taken by the suspects, according to a message sent out by the city.
The burglar or burglars smashed the window panes on a door then reached in and unlocked it to gain entry to the home. They left the home "ransacked" according to the city's message.
The crime happened some time between 10 a.m. and 10:55 p.m, according to the city.
An arrest for stolen property and drug paraphernalia possession was made in the same neighborhood on Tuesday.
