A 21-year-old San Gabriel man has been arrested after he was seen committing lewd acts while sitting on a park bench and looking directly at children in a playground, authorities said today.

Detectives from the Sheriff's Parks Bureau located Joshua Duran Tuesday while he was walking close to Michillinda Park in an unincorporated area bordering Arcadia.

Duran had been observed in the park on Friday.

Duran was also found with a large amount of marijuana in his possession when taken into custody.

Duran was taken to the sheriff's Temple Station and booked for possession of marijuana for sale and lewd and lascivious acts in public. He was held on a $20,000 bail.

Ray Ray,I thought the homeless problem in the park had been taken care of.I saw 2 blue tarp pup tent (proper term?) shelters just before Valentines Day. Shelters were on the north side under the large tree. These "HOMEOWNERS" got building permits? (Just west of our million dollar library entrance)I am an individual with compassion,as a tax payer it must be noted Library Park is exactly that Library Park. The last time I happened to see a CAMP GROUND sign was NEVER. I was told Library Park's homeless problem has been going on for over a year. What has Mayor Lutz done about this problem.Nothing at all.If Lutz thinks she's got power enough too give away our Monrovia VOTED ON HILLSIDES.( I sure hope we can get out of that horrible deal, yes LUTZ is in all Judy CHU'S pockets) it's time Mayor Lutz take her supposed power and clean up and remove the homeless from Monrovia's beautiful Library Park. Please keep me updated, let me know if the Homeless AKA individuals who do not know or want too know the meaning of the word responsibility.

It's a very well planned demise of the American Landscape. Police do nothing. I listen to them on a Scanner,They are usually hiding unless they receive a call, Its all going to third world standards which in the end will most likely allow them to Implement Martial Law for Our Safety.

Many have been removed from the Library Park by Court Order. I've observed the Park empty at night. Then the next morning druggies come back to sleep their hangover off. This must stop. Have you had enough yet people?

R.Ray,Have you considered a Mayoral position for yourself? I think your common sense alone, shows how much you have to offer. It is easy to see our current Mayor Lutz is clueless in the common sense department.
