Large Black Bear Spotted in Sierra Madre

The animal was apparently scavenging for food in the trash cans of Sierra Madre residents.

A large black bear was spotted knocking over trash cans in the 600 block of Oak Crest Drive early Monday morning, according to City News Service.

The bear was presumably searching for food in the trash cans of residents who live near the edge of the Angeles Forest. Soon after being spotted, the bear ran back into the nearby mountains, according to reports

It is the second time in less than a week that a large wild animal has been seen near a Sierra Madre residence and caught on video.

Last week off the front lawns of a Camillo Street resident after the nearly 200 pound cats were seen lounging near the home.
