Huntington Park Man Arrested for Monday Night's Sierra Madre Burglaries

A Huntington Park man has been identified as the suspect arrested for a burglary and several attempted burglaries that happened in Sierra Madre on Monday night.

Adan Bernal, 24, of Huntington Park was arrested for the crimes, according to Sgt. Ruben Enriquez of the Sierra Madre Police Department.

Bernal is accused of one successfull burglary attempt and three other attempted burglaries, according to information posted on the City of Sierra Madre Facebook page.

The locations include the 600 block of Manzanita and the 400 block of Ramona.

The burglaries happened overnight when residents of the homes were asleep.  Bernal was arrested by police following a K-9 unit search while another suspect escaped and has not yet been arrested, according to the city.

The city has had five burglaries reported in the last week according to the crimereports.com website, including an attempted burglary Tuesday night that had K-9 units and a helicopter setting up containment in the city.

Additionally, the city arrested two other burglary suspects last week.
