Crime Blotter: Headless Chickens Left on Street

The following information was supplied by the Sierra Madre Police Department as part of their weekly crime blotter. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Oct. 24:

10:23 a.m. - Vandalism/$400 or More Damage in the 300 block of W. Sierra Madre Blvd. This case involves a suspect(s) that shattered a glass touch screen in a Bank of America ATM machine.

Tuesday, Oct. 25:

3:05 p.m. - Make Annoying Telephone Calls in the 400 block of W. Sierra Madre Blvd. This case involves the victim’s ex-girlfriend leaving messages on his answering machine.

Wednesday, Oct. 26:

1:31 p.m. - Suspicious Circumstances, Sierra Madre Blvd and Park Ave. This case involves an unknown suspect(s) leaving chickens with their heads cut off on brown butcher paper. Pasadena Humane Society responded and took the remains.

Friday, Oct. 28:

1:06 p.m. - Use Another’s Personal Identification to Obtain Credit/Etc. This case involves a victim that received her credit report and found numerous accounts and alias on the report that did not belong to her. Her identity was compromised and numerous accounts were opened in her name.   

Saturday, Oct. 29:

3:09 a.m. - DUI Alcohol/Drugs, Sierra Madre Blvd and Park Ave. An officer stopped a 50-year old Sierra Madre motorist for a Vehicle Code violation, and found that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to Pasadena Police Department for booking. 

During the week of Sunday, Oct. 23, to Saturday Oct. 29, the Sierra Madre Police Department responded to approximately 260 calls for service.

What are these "organizations that can assist educators in providing an additional incomeRead More source for school supplies?" What are the other "big retailers" besides Staples that are helping teachers with rewards programs? This is a great subject but there is little detail here beyond a link to the Staples program. Would love to read a follow up piece with more useful information.
