Glendora PD on High Alert as Manhunt For Rogue Officer Continues

Glendora Police is offering increased security for local LAPD officers as the manhunt continues for a suspect targeting officers and their families.

As Southland law enforcement are on a manhunt for a former LAPD officer believed to be targeting officers and their families, Glendora Police is remaining on high alert and offering security to local LAPD officers.

Glendora Police Chief Rob Castro said Glendora Police is increasing the number of officers in local patrols.

“We have put two officers in all our patrol units, put our motorcycle officers in units and we are providing security for LAPD officers’ homes in Glendora who are possible targets,” Castro said.

Police say Christopher Jordan Dorner, 33, killed a Walnut woman and her fiance in Irvine in retaliation over his firing at LAPD. One of the victims, Monica Quan, was the daughter of Randy Quan, who Dorner implicated in his firing.

As details emerged of Dorner’s online manifesto, in which Dorner raged against a corrupt and racist LAPD he said pushed him to commit ‘necessary evils,’ Riverside police say Dorner claimed his next victim – a Riverside police officer.

Two Riverside police officers were on their usual patrol Thursday morning when police say Dorner ambushed them at a red light. One officer was fatally injured, while the other was wounded and undergoing surgery Thursday.

Dorner is described as black, 6 feet tall, 270 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen driving a gray 2005 Nissan Titan pickup, California license plate 7X03191. Police said Dorner may have switched license plates, possibly to a plate with the number 8D83987 or 8D83997.

According to recent reports, police believe Dorner may be in the Big Bear area.

Authorities say Dorner is armed and extremely dangerous and anyone with information is urged to call 911.

Update: Christopher Dorner’s truck was found burning in the mountains of Big Bear, California. The massive manhunt is still going on for Dorner, who is accused of killing three people. Police confirm that the truck is his, but they did not reveal what was inside.

I would bet that the truck was a diversion to force the police and media to focus on the truck while he headed elsewhere. This guy is very well versed in how to elude police and how to manipulate his situation to his advantage. Hopefully, he will slip up somewhere soon and be apprehended before he does any more damage to anyone.
