Car Rolls Over in Crash After Driver Plugs in Cell Phone

The accident happened last week in the 400 block of Santa Anita Court, according to the Sierra Madre Police Department's crime blotter.

At 8:30am, a solo vehicle traffic collision took place in the 400 block of Santa Anita Court.  The vehicle was proceeding east on Santa Anita Court when it drifted to the right, travelled over the curb and collided with a tree. The momentum caused the vehicle to roll over onto its roof. The driver complained of pain caused by the deployment of the vehicle air bag and received medical treatment.   The driver admitted that he became distracted when he was attempting to plug in his cell phone.
