A burglar smashed the rear bedroom window of a home in the 200 block of Baldwin Avenue and made entry, but subsequently fled empty-handed when the home's alarm system was triggered, according to a message sent out by the city.
No property was lost in the attempted burglary, which occurred around 10 a.m.
