CHANGE IN WATER SOURCE & NEW BUILDINGS

Sierra Madre needs to immediately stop the building of any new structures in our city that involve more people (i.e. more water consumers) until we get the water situation under control.  This includes the most recent request to build apartments to replace single-family homes.  Because of our increased water use and decreased water supply, we are forced to use "treated" San Gabriel surface water that could make some people sick.  Therefore, I urge fellow SM residents to call City Hall and put a stop to construction of new buildings that would add water consumers until - and if - we ever raise our water supply to prevent this from happening ever again.
