Edison Wants Your Old Refrigerators

When you recycle your refrigerator through Edison, you'll get a free pick-up and $35.00.

Southern California Edison is offering to haul away your old refrigerator free-of-charge and give you a little bit of cash for it.

Here's what you need to know, courtesy of the City of Sierra Madre:

Schedule your free pickup by visiting www.sce.com/pickup or calling (800) 234-9722. Pick-ups can be made weekdays between 7:00am and 6:00pm or Saturday between 7:00am and 3:30pm.
Your fridge must be between 10 and 32 cubic feet, and be in working order.
In exchange for your fridge, SCE will send you $35.00. You can also choose to donate all or a portion of your cash incentive to the Energy Assistance Fund (EAF), a special fund that helps needy customers pay their utility bills. Donations to EAF are tax-deductible.
SCE will arrange for your refrigerator or freezer to be properly dismantled and recycled in an environmentally responsible manner.
