"Life and Surprises in Sierra Madre during the WW1 Era"

Presented by the Sierra Madre Historical Preservation Society and Sierra Madre Woman's Club on Feb. 20, 2014 at 7 pm in the beautiful and historical Essick House. This presentation is part of the celebration of the Sierra Madre Library's One Book One City selection, Maisie Dobbs, and the 100th anniversary of Essick House.

The program will include author and historian Michele Zack who will speak on life in Sierra Madre during the years up to, including, and immediately following WW1. Discussion and book signing to follow.

Jim Constantian, collector of antique phonographs and member of the Antique Phonograph Society will attend and everyone will have the treat of listening to WW1 Era phonograph music.

The event will be held from 7 - 9 pm at Essick House -
550 W. Sierra Madre Blvd. Sierra Madre

Light refreshments will be served and house tours will be available.
