The Flea Market @ Wonder Dog Ranch Returns…and is Celebrating National Puppy Day!
The Ranch is celebrating National Puppy Day on March 23rd (www.nationalpuppyday.com) a special day designated in 2006 to celebrate puppies and encourage adoptions. “We’re lucky to have the Pasadena Humane Society mobile van at our market this month; of course, since this is a not-for-dogs-only event, we will be sharing a lot of community information as well as offering services and items for sale from great vendors, local businesses and organizations - things like estate sale treasures, vintage items, artisanal crafts - but at this market you’ll even be able to learn how to best shop for a dog - adopt!” said Ernie Dods, the CBO of Wonder Dog Ranch.
The Flea Market will be easy to find in the parking lot of Wonder Dog Ranch - Dog Day Care & Boarding located at 220 Taylor Street, just two blocks south of Duarte Road on the east side of the 2000 block of S. Myrtle. From the 210 freeway, just follow the signs around the closure to The Flea Market @ Wonder Dog Ranch. California and Magnolia Avenues are excellent options if you’re coming from downtown Monrovia.
This is the second Flea Market @ Wonder Dog Ranch, and one more market is currently scheduled for April 27th, once again the fourth Sunday of the month. The Flea Market may continue periodically after May once the Metro Gold Line tracks are in place and Myrtle Avenue is scheduled to reopen to traffic.

“We are family-owned and community oriented, so having a community event like this at Wonder Dog Ranch is totally in keeping with our philosophy,” continued Mr. Dods; “I am still in search of a Flea Circus for our parking lot; since fleas can never be inside our dog day care and boarding facility, that’s the only way fleas would be allowed anywhere on our property - tell me if you know of one.”

Customers are welcome to bring dogs to the Market, but please be sure to have all pooches under strict control on a short leash. Dogs will not be allowed inside Wonder Dog Ranch unless they are already enrolled like the regular customers who may be inside, but tours for their people will be offered periodically throughout the day.
A portion of the proceeds of this event will benefit the Foothill Unity Center Pet Food Bank (http://foothillunitycenter.org/pet-food-bank/).
