Share Your Local Voice, Blog on Sierra Madre Patch

Beginning May 4, Sierra Madre Patch will introduce a platform for local bloggers on the site.

We're looking for Sierra Madre residents and business people of all stripes to share their personality and opinions while engaging with community members in discussions.

Sierra Madre Patch is more than a news site, it's an online conversation about your community.

• Are you passionate about the big issues facing Sierra Madre?
• Are you an expert craftsman or hobbyist who can share do-it-yourself tips?
• Are you a student who has an interesting viewpoint on growing up in Sierra Madre?
• Do you have strong opinions about local government?
• Can you just make us all laugh?
• Can you write compellingly?

If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, then we want to hear from you.

This isn't a reporting job. It's blogging. You write what you want when you want to. You can post every day, once a week, once a month or every other leap year -- it's all up to you.

Be interesting. Be provocative. Be yourself.

And don't worry, Sierra Madre Patch won't own what you post, so you can repost your entries to other blogs. And since we're part of the Huffington Post Media Group, we may occasionally be able to put your submission in front of a huge audience

My role as editor would be hands off. I will review blog entries to ensure quality and make sure the spelling, grammar and style is up to snuff so your blog shines. Other than that, it's you and your words.

And don't be afraid if you're new to this blog stuff, no previous blogging experience is required.
