Retirement Reception, SMSR Fundraiser and More This Weekend

The entire city is invited to the Library’s reception to honor Toni Buckner, Director of Library Services for the City of Sierra Madre, who is retiring at the end of September after 34 years of dedicated service.

When: Saturday 9/17: 10 a.m.-noon.

This month’s family fun class is called “Animal Tracks.” Families can track, identify and even mold animal footprints throughout the Aboretum. Call 626-821-4623 to register. Cost is $12-14 per family.

When: Saturday 9/17: 12-8 p.m.

With four bands, a jam session, gourmet food trucks, vintage cars and motorcyles, face painting, balloon houses, slip n’ slides, a petting zoo and more, this is the place to be for the whole family! Admission is free!

When: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 9/16 – 9/18.

Greek Fest is taking over Santa Anita Park all weekend long. Greek food, dancing, music, and more await Greek Fest-goers.

Where: (2029 Lake Ave., Altadena)

When: Sunday 9/18: 3 p.m.

Jeannie Austin will take the stage to perform Carole King’s greatest hits. Jaynee Thorne will also perform some of Joni Mitchell’s best songs. Tickets are $15.
