You Get When You Give During the Holidays

Get by giving this Christmas season.

The holidays can be such a time of joy and excitement for many people. Family-time, decorating, hosting friends and loved-ones, and enjoying traditions. However, all too often, the holidays can turn into a hectic time, with shopping and scrambling around town to find the "perfect" gifts. Although it may not be intentional for most people to think only of buying and shopping, consumerism can reach an all-time peak where the spirit of the holidays gets obscured.

Slow down this season and think about the things you have and are thankful for. And then think about those you love and spend time with them. Reach out to those you haven't had time to connect with - and don't just do it on Facebook.

"Tis the season to be jolly" is not just a phrase from a song - it's an exhortation to happy and make others happy, as well.

The Shabby Dog and Ixora Floral Studio would like to wish the community of Sierra Madre happy holidays and Merry Christmas, and invite you to their Holiday Toy Drive and Pet Adoption on December 15, 2012 at the Shabby Dog and Ixora Floral Studio locations.

Get by giving this holiday by donating a toy for Toys for Tots and/or giving an at-risk pet a forever home for the holidays and everyday.

What are these "organizations that can assist educators in providing an additional incomeRead More source for school supplies?" What are the other "big retailers" besides Staples that are helping teachers with rewards programs? This is a great subject but there is little detail here beyond a link to the Staples program. Would love to read a follow up piece with more useful information.
