Work Set to Begin Extending Gold Line from Sierra Madre Villa Station

The first phase of work is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 17.

The following press release is from Metro:

The Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Construction Authority has been making good progress on the Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension, the 11.5-mile addition that will extend the Gold Line from its current terminus in eastern Pasadena to a new station in Azusa just north of Citrus College. Work is now set to begin to connect the future extension to the existing Gold Line Sierra Madre Villa Station.

The first phase of work is scheduled for Sunday, November 17. There will be bus shuttles replacing train service between the Allen and Sierra Madre Villa Stations that day. Trains will run at regular intervals between Atlantic and Allen.
