The shop recommends ordering as soon as possible, as their supply of 20-plus pound turkeys has already been depleted, and the smaller ones are going fast as well.

Minimum orders of 13 pounds are to be placed no later than this Saturday.

The Wildflour Baking Company, in addition to offering their customary array of mouthwatering pies and treats, is featuring an “old-fashioned” Thanksgiving dinner presentation, meant to feed eight or so people with leftovers--an admittedly indispensable part of this joyous holiday.

For $80, customers will take home a 14 to 16 pound herb-roasted turkey, as well as family-sized portions of old-fashioned sausage and apple dressing. Also included are selections from their traditional menu of dishes, including mac ‘n' cheese and mashed potatoes.

Wildflour's Thanksgiving dinner also includes a quart of the bakery’s own gravy and a quart of their wonderfully tart cranberry sauce.

Pies and dessert are to be sold separately, signature selections being Wildflour’s own pumpkin, apple-cranberry and pecan pies.

Customers should ideally finalize their orders by Saturday morning, to guarantee that all are given the attention they require. The bakery, however, will consider all orders until as late as Monday, if possible.

The Bottle Shop is carrying a number of holiday-oriented beverages in their inventory. In particular, they recommend pairing your festive turkey dinner with the latest 2011 Beaujolais Nouveau, a fresh release from this year’s famously ripe and fruity French crop.

The beloved Nouveau grapes are considered an excellent compliment to a hearty holiday meal, lending their fruity notes of cherry, banana and sometimes even strawberry, as well as a subtle underlying edge of dry, smoky tannins.

The shop is also stocked with an array of celebration ales this holiday season, including offerings from Sierra Nevada, Anchor Steam and a variety of Oktoberfest brews.

The Only Place in Town has mentioned that they will most likely be offering their customers the option of a Thanksgiving turkey dinner this coming Wednesday evening, for those of us who simply cannot resist celebrating our great American holiday early, or two nights in a row. Interested parties and families are asked to call ahead for more information.
