Taylor's Holding 'Customer Appreciation Day'

Though speculation is swirling over whether Sierra Madre's butcher will have to relocate or close, Taylor's Ol' Fashioned Meats is doing regular business and holding a customer appreciation day Saturday.

There has been much and in the community over the fate of .

The location of Sierra Madre's popular meat market may be in jeopardy, as Fresh & Easy developers have submitted an application to tear down the building and construct their own chain grocery store on the property.

However, Taylor's currently shows no indication of shutting its doors, and has deemed this coming Saturday "Customer Appreciation Day" at the market. From 11 a.m. to to 2 p.m., customers can stop by the store for a hot dog, hamburger and other treats, all on the house.

Owner Don Taylor that he loves Sierra Madre and moving wouldn't be his first choice, but the lease he currently has is month-to-month.

"I wouldn’t want to move somewhere else, but there aren’t many big buildings in Sierra Madre. There are small office types, real estate businesses, liquor stores, but nothing of the size that we would need,” said Taylor previously.

The Fresh & Easy project is still just a proposal at this point, and would have to go through Planning Commission and City Council approval before it would come to fruition.

Taylor's is located at 14 E Sierra Madre Blvd. in Sierra Madre.

What are these "organizations that can assist educators in providing an additional incomeRead More source for school supplies?" What are the other "big retailers" besides Staples that are helping teachers with rewards programs? This is a great subject but there is little detail here beyond a link to the Staples program. Would love to read a follow up piece with more useful information.
