Sierra Madre Welcomes New Wine Tasting Room

Sample an expensive bottle of wine before you buy it at The Bottle Shop, which just added a wine tasting room for customers.

owner Bill Sullivan has made yet another addition to his already plentiful selection of wine, beer and liquor. March 25th marked the grand opening of a new wine tasting room at The Bottle Shop.

“I decided to open a wine tasting room to give customers the ability to taste wine before they purchase it and to educate customers on various wines,” Sullivan said.

Customers can choose from 16 red wines and eight white wines.  The wines are stored in an Enomatic Machine which keeps the wines fresh for up to 30 days.  Customers load money in a Bottle Shop card which in turn allows them to insert in the Enomatic Machine to taste wines like Opus One, Duckhorn Merlot and Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon. Prices range from $0.50 to $5.50 per half an ounce of wine, depending on the wine.

“For $5, you can taste a $220 bottle of wine,” explained Sullivan.

Special events coming soon at the wine tasting room include: Thursday Night Wine Flights, Meet and Greet with Winemakers and Blending Seminars... where people can try the different components of wine.

The wine tasting room hours of operation are: Thursday 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; and Saturday 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Call for Wednesday hours.

The Bottle Shop is located at 58 W Sierra Madre Blvd. in Sierra Madre.

What are these "organizations that can assist educators in providing an additional incomeRead More source for school supplies?" What are the other "big retailers" besides Staples that are helping teachers with rewards programs? This is a great subject but there is little detail here beyond a link to the Staples program. Would love to read a follow up piece with more useful information.
